finishes which are NOT a paint or powder coat. All of our chemical finishes are
basically an accelerated form of what happens naturally, given enough time.
While natural patina starts in a bronze color then changes to Verde, our
process can also create "rusty" looking elements or even black as well.

Every Pathlight, Walkway light, and Garden Lantern manufactured by SPJ Lighting
is a unique work of art, handcrafted "In House" by our artisans. We start with
a raw piece of brass or copper and begin cutting, bending, and shaping by hand
to create each of our unique designs. Our chemical finishes are then applied by
hand "In House" as well to insure quality control, lights are fully tested and
ready for outdoor use.

Directional and wash lights are the perfect finishing touch for any outdoor
environment. They are functional for safety, but they are also part of an
entire scene, creating a mood that is both inviting and dramatic. A romantic
mood is set on a gazebo or spa by using a combination of up and down lights.
Trees, sculptures, and water features come to life with creative cross
lighting, back lighting, and moonlighting. SPJ Lighting, Inc. covers all
applications of directional and wash lighting 120 volt and 12 volt fixtures are
available in an extensive range of sizes and lamping. Our machined brass MR-16
and MR-8 accent lights were developed with the professional lighting designer
in mind. Lenses, louvers, and adjustable shrouds are all standard in this line
and are available in all of our finishes.

Task lighting covers a wide range of applications limited only by our
imagination. Barbeque, decks, Patio Covers...the list goes on and on. Step
lighting is essential for safety and is required by some building codes. Deck
railing and posts are much more inviting when illuminated by tiny surface
mounted fixtures.

SPJ Lighting, Inc. specializes in handcrafted solid brass lanterns. Post lights,
column mounts, and wall lanterns are all hand made in a variety of styles and
sizes. Craftsman, contemporary, and traditional lanterns define the
architecture and create a common theme throughout the project. Our Mission &
Craftsman Designs compliment architectural designs with patterns inspired by
centuries of quality and pride in workmanship.

All Lanterns are Title 24 compliant which is required by the state of California
many other states are already on the board and the prediction is that the
majority of states will follow. Title 24 requires that all new or remodeled
residential fixtures (does not include landscape lighting) permanently attached
to the fixture must be 4 pin fluorescent with electronic ballast, or HID
available if incandescent, must have a photo-cell motion sensor incorporated
that cannot be manually overridden.
